Many are familiar with the 5 element cycles, but not everyone knows about the larger cycles which influence our lives on a much bigger scale.
Each 10 year period is ruled by one of 10 elements.
For example, the current period from 2004 to the end of 2013 is ruled by Yang Earth, and the following period from 2014 to the end of 2023 will be ruled by Yin Earth. This complete period of 20 years will be ruled by the Earth element. What does this mean for us?
During the Earth period we will notice that certain people will generally be more successful than others, many of them born as Yin Earth or Yang Earth personalities. They will simply have greater energy support during this period and it will be easier for them to succeed in whatever they do. Therefore we have many Earth people who have achieved amazing things, especially during 2008 and 2009 when the Earth element was at its peak.
Here are some of them:
– Will Smith, Yang Earth – Produced 4 and acted in 2 movies in 2008 and 2009. One of the greatest movies stars of our time.
– Pink, Yang Earth – Released a new album, Funhouse in 2008 which was nr. 1 album in 6 countries.
– Barack Obama, Yin Earth – Became the president of USA in 2008.
– Roger Federer, Yang Earth – won 3 Grand Slams and played 4 Grand Slam finals in 2008. In 2009 was the only time Federer won the French Open which takes place on – clay (earth), interesting fact, indeed. It seems the Earth peak gave him the edge to finally win there.
– 50 Cent, Yin Earth – In 2008 and 2009 his music career peaked.
– Maria Sharapova, Yang Earth – Won Australian Open in 2008 but an injury stopped her to reach her peak.
– Nicolas Sarkozy, Yin Earth – President of France during 2008 / 2009.
– Rafael Nadal, Yang Earth – Won 3 Grand Slams during 2008 and 2009. Playing on clay is his speciality, won 7 French Opens from 2005 to 2012.
– George Clooney, Yin Earth – Acted in 5 movies, produced 4 of them and won 12 different awards for a best actor during 2008 and 2009.
– Michael Schumacher – In 2008 he was already retired but kept the very important role of adviser and test driver in the Ferrari team. Later he even resumed his driving career.
– Robert Downey Jr., Yang Earth – In 2008 he became globally famous with the Iron Man movie (btw, Earth produces Metal, therefore this was a very suitable role for him and perfect timing)
– Mark Zuckerberg, Yang Earth – During 2009 Facebook started to grow rapidly, spreading globally.
– Victoria Beckham, Yang Earth – Although her singing career was slowing down, she was still all over the news media in 2008 and 2009.
– Justin Timberlake, Yin Earth – After becoming successful with his music, in 2008 and 2009 Timberlake began to be involved in many other projects, from movies to other business ventures.
– David Beckham, Yang Earth – His career peaked at the beginning of the Earth period but his luck carried his succes further and in 2008, 2009 during which he was desired by many top teams.
– Bruce Willis, Yin Earth – Although he is very much an acting star of the 90’s, he managed to come back during the Earth period.
– Mel Gibson, Yin Earth – The same can be said for Mel Gibson who in the Earth period managed to establish himself as a movie director as well.
– Quentin Tarantino, Yin Earth – In 2009 his movie Inglorious Basterds was nominated for 8 Oscars.
All these people are talented but the Earth luck helped them to further their success and the public was much more willing to accept them and saw them as a kind of role model.
Most distinctly we can witness this phenomenon in tennis. Since 2004 Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were completely dominating the world tennis. From 2004 to 2009 these two won 20 out of 24 Grand Slams. Only recently Novak Djokovic appeared who managed to break this dominance to a certain extent. However Djokovic is a Yin Metal element and no matter what he achieves in tennis, he will always be ‘burried’ by the fame of the two Earth people. Djokovic will never be able to bring his Yin Metal to shine as long Nadal and Federer are around, on the court or in the media.
So, what is next?
We still have another 11 years of Earth element rule with another peak waiting for us in the year 2018 and 2019. It might again bring instability in real estate and economy in general. We will also witnes a second rise of Earth people and this should start very soon, in 2-3 years.
