Pig (Boar)
Character
Most people imagine Pigs are either greedy and lazy, or pink and cuddly. On the other hand, did you ever see a wild boar charging at its foe, its sharp tusks and rage a frightening prospect. Pigs are simply tough even if they seem soft. As for your famous lazy approach to life, well, again that’s not really true – you can be lazy if you lack inspiration, and as for greedy – better too much than too little. In short, you Pigs like to enjoy yourself and take it easy – and what’s wrong with that?
Basically, Pigs are fun loving and pleasure seeking and they help show us that life is for living. That life can be easy going and we can make the best of everything and not worry about what we cannot change; they just want to have good things in life. So, whilst you are not a strong or vibrant character you have a great ability to let go of irrelevant things and focus on the really important things!
Business & Career
Pigs have huge ideas, but they tend to keep them to themselves because they are too scared of others mocking them. Ideas like; suddenly winning the lottery; inheriting a fortune; achieving Hollywood stardom; becoming a hero; painting a masterpiece; writing a bestseller… Ambitions, yes, plenty, however, they are all centred around comfort rather than achieving great success!
No ideas about winning the Nobel Peace prize or saving the world, for the Pig… changes in fortune, or sudden stardom are much more useful because they involve little work, nor effort, and are seldom, if ever, materialised. This can make the Pig unhappy, as it can think its life is empty and unfulfilled.
As a heart centred person, you know what makes people work and you work well with other people and in people-centred jobs; so you make a good social worker, personnel manager, healer, nurse, caregiver, counsellor, and also good hoteliers. Pigs are not so good with technology or paperwork, but are also good with work that involves the senses like; artist, musician, chef, wine taster, skin care technician, chiropodist, manicurist, perfume manufacturer or gourmet.
Romance & Relationship
You are in reality a delicate soul, and don’t like being hurt – if you trust too easily, however, this can happen, especially as you are kind and open; a really loving person to be sure. In fact, you are a big, slushy romantic. You are loyal and will do a lot to please your loved one. You are passionate about love, and once you have met your soul mate you decide quickly to spend the rest of your life with them.
Actually, Pigs fall in love with ease. They are constantly looking for their soul mate, and are repeatedly let down and upset because they frequently search for that in the most unlikely of people. Unlucky Pigs!
But as Pigs are true romantics and love being in love, they will always try again, and again, especially as they are also easily emotionally needy on their partners and thus don’t like to do without for too long. They are in mourning when they are alone, even for a short while, and so, the Pig can be somewhat disloyal if alone for too long. They simply need constant attention, or they’ll wander off with someone else. It’s not really promiscuity or disloyalty, just loneliness.
Marrying a Pig is a piece of cake – and will cost you an arm and a leg! Just lead them along and they will trot to the alter, but be warned, they expect the very best of life. They usually see marriage as a long-term thing, but will look for other sources if too much taken for granted.
Pigs are warm, sensuous beings, who like to be caressed and loved – a great deal. You associate sex with extravagance, and want to be warm and comfy when you make love. In bed they like comfort instead of exhilaration, warmth instead of lust, and sentiment instead of physicality. But in truth, Pigs are loyal, spirited lovers, who feel sex is a natural joy and pleasure. They know what they like and how to get it.
So, just give them fine food and drink and they are yours!
Family
Pigs sometimes seem distant from their own children. The children cannot understand this and find it hard, because they know the Pig is all heart. Truth is, the Pig has lots of time for its friends, but often doesn’t make time for close family members because they are scared of rejection and worried about being criticized or rebuffed by closer family members; thus they play it cool to dodge this.
